The artist spent many years as a military historian and painter working on official commissions with work in museums and collections, including that of royal families and heads of state, worldwide.

She paints in several media and styles, the subjects tending to dictate which are used, and she is particularly inspired by living or travelling overseas.

Her ‘civilian’ paintings have been regularly exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the ING Discerning Eye and several other organisations at the Mall Galleries, London and others. She has received many awards and has chaired a major national art society.
