The artist uses imagination, memory and photography as sources of inspiration to produce paintings of landscapes, urban scenes and the people within them, often imbued with a strong cinematic and theatrical influence. The paintings feature both illustrative linear elements and detail along with expressive and layered gestural brushwork. Their work is often compared to stained glass, due to the lighting of the scenes, the luminosity of the colours and the strong use of line.
